The sun shone brightly on a beautiful fall day in late October in Vermont. Though the foliage season had begun to fade, a last warm day hung on, enhancing the smell of Autumn in New England.... With the Green Mountains as a backdrop, the bride rolled up to the church with her father in a 1951 Styline and the couple said their vows in front of their close family.
For those who may not know, my Nana, grandmother and second mom for us, passed away on February 18, 2023 at the age of 98. We are so grateful she was able to be a part of our beautiful ceremony and along with Mom and Dad, walked the bride down the aisle. She is truly missed.
We got our license at the town hall in Vergennes, VT.
Donning nana's pearls - "something borrowed!
Our nephew Liam, not quite 4 at the time, stole the show as the ring bearer.
Mom, Dad, and Nana walked the bride down the aisle.
We lit a unity candle with our parents to symbolize the joining of our families.
Putting on the rings... almost official!
Our first kiss as a married couple! Tim, brother of the bride, was "man of honor" and Jon, brother of the groom was "best man".
L to R: KT, Finley, Tim, Nana, Mom, Dad, Liam, Christa, Sam, Martha, Gary, and Jon.Â
