Air Travel
Bradley International Airport (BDL) is just over an hour north of Water's Edge and is Connecticut's major airport. Rental cars and ground transportation are available at the airport and it serves most major cities and airlines.
Tweed New Haven (HVN) is a much smaller regional airport located about a half hour west of Water's Edge with fewer options, including Baltimore, Tampa, and Chicago. Rental cars and ground transportation are available. For more information, check their website.
Rail Travel
Amtrak's Northeast Regional line travels between Boston and Washington, D.C. and stops at Old Saybrook, CT - the next town over from Water's Edge. If your destination begins in Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, or DC, you can travel via Amtrak directly to Old Saybrook. Additionally, if you fly into an airport such as Newark or BWI, you can take the train right from there.
